COQUARD company was founded in 1991 by Mr André COQUARD, a cheese maker by profession, graduated from ENIL of La-Roche-sur-Foron in 1974 and currently President of the company.
The company has always been located in Villefranche Sur Saône, at 25 km North of Lyon. It is an independent company currently employing 23 persons, 7 of whom are graduated from a dairy school and with a good knowledge of cheeses in order to assist the customers.
For almost 30 years at the service of the dairy tradition, COQUARD distributes its products in FRANCE an in many countries, mainly by relying on a distributor network in a dozen countries.
In France and abroad the return of consumers to artisanal and authentic products local products requires the company to adapt and allows its development.
“From the first day, it was necessary to create suitable products for farmer’s workshop . Everything has started by our range of cultures tubes, nobody did that ! Recipes have been developed for 20 and for 200 litres of milk then up to 600 litres. Today, we have more than 100 cultures which are available for sale.
Then early in 1999, the website opened us to the export, and once again it was necessary to adapt the range, to review our products and always add pages to our catalogue.“
More than 1800 products are presented in the catalogue. Not mentioning the other products and all the spare parts.
More than 3/4 of our products are made in France by ourselves, or are produced by our french suppliers or subcontractors.
